Weeks 7 and 8

To my 4 maybe 5 followers, I am sorry I missed last
week. I am trying to play catch up now.

Weeks 7 and 8

Febuary 16

At story time, Oliver thought the Frogs, Ted
and Fred, needed a story read to them. He has
such a sweet heart.



Febuary 17

We had Family Game Night at Sophie's
school this night. I was one of 2 moms who
had to put the grand prize together for one
lucky family to take home. Guess which family
was the lucky family!? That is right, the Gernands
had the high scores of the evening. So we got
to bring the prize home and have our own game night.
So much fun!



My first attempt of french braiding.
Not too bad, I think.



Febuary 19th

Sophie does so well having quite time in her
room. Today she didn't make it through the hour.
This is how I found her in the hallway.



Febuary 20

Helping Daddy do the dishes!


I got to spend today celebrating a long time
friend, Jayma. Shannon and some of her
other friends threw a wonderful bridal shower
for her and these are the cake balls that Shannon
made for dessert. And we can't forget about
the mocha punch!!!



Febuary 21

Another day to celebrate Jayma. She came
over with all the ribbon and tulle a girl could
want and we spent the morning making
decorations for the big day. Final results to come...



Febuary 22

Maybe it is time to take our snowflakes down
from the hallway. Look at these 3 working so
hard. What a great team.



Febuary 23

We filled different sized cups with water and
random ingredients and then put them in the
freezer over night to see what would happen.



Febuary 24

The results are in. Putting water in the freezer
makes it cold, hard, slippery and fun to eat.



Febuary 25

While I was shoveling the walk way, S and O
decided to see what would happen if they put
their sleds on top of the plowed mound of snow.
And what happened was a good time. So we walked
down to the swings and found a bigger hill and
spent the morning sledding.













Febuary 26

This is a night to remember. Sophie and Daddy
went to their first Daddy/Daughter dance. Or
as we called it, The Ball. They had a catered
dinner, ice cream bar and dancing. What a
special memory.



Oliver and Mommy also had a date night. We
went out for pizza, came home and had ice cream
and watched "The Incredibles". Here are the
boys both wearing one of Daddy's ties.



Febuary 28

Building a house together in Oliver's room.

Week 6

Feb. 8

Daddy working hard to fix our dripping sink.
This is the 1/2 bath in Mom and Dad's room
with the laundry room on the other side.



Feb 9

We go to the library every Wednesday morning
for story time with Mrs. Pam. We also try to
get there early so you can have computer time.



Feb 10

Here you guys are making your own pizzas.
I think you are eating more ingredients than
what you are putting on top of them.



Feb 11th

Fridays we go to Kinder Gym. Your class is
full of your friends and you guys have so much
fun together.




Feb 12

Our Saturday night plans got canceled so we
called up Grandma and Papa and they saved
the day. We went to their house for the evening.
They gave you guys your Valentine's presents.
Grandma made you a homemade apron, Oliver.
Sophie, they gave you an adorable tutu that
you kept saying you have been dreaming of.



Feb 13

You both have such great imaginations and play
so well together. Here you are in your house
under the table in the living room. Notice all
of the toilet paper on the floor. When I walked
in the room there was almost a whole roll out.
Sophie, you were making a wedding dress out
of it.



Feb 14

Happy Valentine's Day
We made dinner together after a long day
of passing out valentines and cookies.



Feb 15

A long awaited play date at a local coffee house.

Week 5

Febuary 1

Daddy was gone for the week, so we were going to
visit Grandma and Papa for an evening during
the week. However, there was a rumor on the
news that a blizzard was coming. So we headed
to Grandma and Papa's a day early. Here you
two are in their back yard. We were outside
for all of 5 mins. before the wind was too much to
handle.



Febuary 2

Well, the rumors were true. A blizzard hit over
night. Papa and I spent some time outside
shoveling.



Febuary 2

The two of you did so well being snowed in for
a couple of days. We found fun ways to stay
entertained.



Febuary 3

Although Papa had to continue working during
the blizzard, he always found ways to take
some time for the two of you. Today he came
home and had lunch with us.



Febuary 4

After a great week with Grandma and Papa, we
headed home on Friday morning.
Finally, Daddy was able to come home on Friday
evening. He was not in the house for 5 minutes
when we had him back out the door again and
taking us out for pizza. We needed to get out
and have some fun.



Febuary 5

You both love music and to sing. Here you are
forming a band, Oliver on guitar and Sophie
playing the piano. Both of you were using your
beautiful voices.



Febuary 6

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY
We had some good friends over for the big
game, Packers vs. Steelers (I think). Here you
are with Grace and Jonah, eating popcorn and
watching a movie on Daddy's computer.



Febuary 7

Sophie, I love seeing you on my bed, wrapped
in a blanket. I am trying to hold on to these
moments as tight as I can. You are growing up
so fast. I love you!
