Weeks 17 and 18

April 23rd (Easterpalooza 2012)

We had a very exciting and tiring day traveling
around to different Easter activities in the area.
Starting with the Easter bunny, Lowes for a
birdhouse craft, Steak N Shake, park, egg hunt,
another craft time and finally ending at home
with egg coloring. A very fun and very tiring
day.



April 24 Happy Easter

I made each kid a felt binder for them to take
with them where ever we go.



Beautiful girl! Today at church she got on stage
to sing with some other children at church.
Sophie "rocked it out" as we call it. She stole the
show and made everyone very happy.



I love these two!



This Easter bunny was finished by the end of
the day.



Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Papa's.





One of my favorite memories with my dad
is coloring eggs and eating them on Easter.
I am so grateful Sophie is able to share in these
memories.



And then there is Oliver.



April 26th

We had parent/teacher conferences today and
Sophie did amazing. I know it is preschool, but
she does her best and we are so proud of her.



April 27 Happy Anniversary

Today Sophie lost her first tooth (4 years old).
I made her tooth fairy pillow from one of her baby
skirts. It turned out so cute.



It is also our 9th anniversary! Oh happy day!



April 28th

Oliver and I went on a field trip to a fire station
with our Mops group. It was not a good listening
day.



May 1st

Sophie cut her own hair. I have nothing to say.



May 2nd

This hair was just discovered in the trash can
in Sophie's room. Notice the trash can says,
"Express Your Talents". Well, she did.



May 3rd

Well, I had to keep this on record too. Even if
it is not at all a good memory but it is a memory
non the less. We discovered lice last night and
are now on the road to recovery.



May 4th

Now we are on a mayonnaise treatment.
Somehow she is still so cute.



May 5th

Oliver's turn.



May 7th

Back to the real world and out to eat for
Mother's Day at Applebee's.





May 8th Happy Mother's Day

Grandma and Papa brought flowers for the
kids to plant. Then we had dinner outside, roasted
marshmallows and took a walk.

May 9th

I couldn't take the porch anymore. So I pulled
the baker's rack from the kitchen and put some
plants on it.


May 12th

We are a one-car family again. Leaving us
to get creative with our transportation. Ryan
borrowed this bike rider from Shannon and the
boys head to the library for Book Buddies.



May 13th

Gymnastics with Miss. Nika. We love Miss Nika.

Weeks 14 15, and 16

April 5

Daddy is still working hard on the swing set.
Today Chris came over to help. The kids are
waiting so patiently.



April 6

Yay! The swing set is up and running (or swinging).
The kids are loving it and having so much fun.



April 7

Well, no swinging today. We spent the day at
Grandma and Papa's lying on the couches taking
medicine all day.



April 8

Oliver was not up much this weekend but here
is one shot of him playing with Daddy.



April 9

Family weekend is finally here. The kids got
to go to an Easter egg hunt in the morning.
Notice Oliver is not in the picture.

We stayed in the cottage Sandy Kay. The kids
loved having bunk beds so much that they spent
a lot of time playing in them.

weather turned out to be beautiful the whole
weekend.

To add to our new lawn decor, Daddy built
this picnic table. Looks great!

Sophie used our homemade felt board to create
this masterpiece and then she took this picture
of it.

We got to pet alpacas this week at story time.
Oliver got the hole the lead and he loved getting
to be this close to this baby alpaca.



April 15

Playing with play dough at Grandma and Papa's.
Sophie made a cake for Papa's birthday and
even made flames on top of the candles.

The kids finally got to sleep on the top bunk
and Papa's and it may be their new favorite
place.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!

No better place to celebrate than at Pizza King
with twinkies for dessert.



April 19

I got to spend the day shopping with Danni
from Impact buying decor for the new lodge
in Epworth. It was such a fun day.



April 20

Mini organizers I have been making for a little
extra money. These are for a local coffee shop.



April 21

Today was a special day. Our friend Alexis hid
eggs in the yard for the kids to find. Hidden inside
the eggs were clues leading to a little gift for
each of them.

Week 13

March 28

It is that time of year. Time to start pulling out
the summer toys. Today Dad got down your
jeep and no time was wasted it getting in and
riding around town (or our yard).

This week at story time you were all different
animals who were ate up by a snake. That is until
the snake sneezed. Everyone was laughing so
hard.

In my mom's group last week we planted some
seeds in our handmade flower pots. After a week
and some sun, my herbs have actually started
to grow.



April 2

We went out to eat with our good friend Jayma
and her new hubby, Dave. By the end of dinner,
Dave was a good friend too.
